Evidence of Construction

This was the initial stage of carefully choosing what footage was the best quality and what would be the most appropriate for the film opening
The film opening began to become more fluent throughout the editing stage

Here you can see the title of the distributing company which we thought would distribute our independent film
As we started to explore different effects and ideas, we decided to change our film opening. This enabled us to make our film opening look a better quality and have a more authentic cinematic feel

We decided to use the flickering effect in order to give our film opening a more sinister aura. in addition, we added audio and music which will create context and more fear

Planning - Filming Schedule

This is our filming schedule. This is important as it helps our group understand what is going to happen and also reassure the actors when they are needed and for what shot. This schedule will ensure that we film enough footage for each shot and make sure we focus on each shot in the correct order depending on the importance of the footage.

Date: Monday 13th February 2017

At 9:50am, our group will meet in location 1 (the house) to start filming. At 10:00am to 10:20am we will greet the actors and give them a short briefing about the day and what will be happening.

10:00am - Arrival of Actors
10:20am - Briefing with Actors
10:30am - We will concentrate on shot 6. This should only take around 8 minutes to get the
correct angle and view and also placing the actors on set.
10:38am - Here we will focus on shot 8, 11 and 12. All actors take place in these scenes (in
the garden) therefore will take a lot of time to make sure we get enough footage
and character from all actors on set. This should take about 25 minutes.
11:05am - Whilst the actors leave (apart from Emily) we will film shot 2 as we only need the
newspaper whilst filming. This will only take 3 minutes again, making sure we
                 have enough footage.
11:10am - The first shot we will film with only Emily will be shot 3. We thought filming this
shot first with only her onset would have a good effect for the film later on as she
will be flushed from running. This should take 10 minutes as we will also be
                 moving location (a field).
11:20am - Then we will film shot 5 as Emily will still be running therefore, wanting to keep
the look she has gained from being outside whilst entering the house. This should
take around 10 minutes to get the correct angle, movement, different shots and
character and also moving location (house).
11:30am - Now all outside footage for Emily would be finished we can concentrate on her
bedroom scenes. These are shots 7 and 9. Each shot should take 5 minutes to
                 capture enough footage.
11:40am - Then we will concentrate on shot 10. For this shot Emily and Claire will be
needed. This should take 5 minutes to film.
11:45am - We will then move to the back door of the house. Here we will film shots 13 and
                 14. Shot 13 will be when Emily's character Rosie is playing with her doll. This will
take 8 minutes as we are getting two different angles. Then shot 14 will take 2
minutes as there is no movement needed.
11:50am - Drive to Abandoned house and film shot 4. This should take around 10 minutes
to set up the camera and get enough shots and angles of the place. No cast are
                 needed for this shot.

Shot 1 does not need any footage and we can produce this shot when editing.
